Overview
Fort Needham Park was a 2-acre, complete site redevelopment project, located in the North End of Halifax, NS. The memorial site for the Halifax explosion, Turf Masters completed the project in partnership with the client, Halifax Regional Municipality in time for the 100th anniversary of the Halifax Explosion.
Turf Masters worked as the General Contractor and completed the bulk of the scope of work, while also collaborating with designers and sub contractors on detailed elements of the project simultaneously. Not only did site construction include unique artistic elements, but also required significant civil infrastructure to ensure the site would continue to perform for the community long term.
